What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
At a time of grief, it was wonderful to receive such a warm welcome from owner, Joanne & all her staff. The breakfasts are home cooked and delicious. We enjoyed lunches and dinner with good choices on the menu. I would highly recommend the hotel for people travelling to the West to take a break and stop for a night or two and also it would be a welcome stop for people travelling to Knock or the airport. Like all rural towns Ballaghaderreen is picking up and convenient for some of the old style shops, a good Boutique for ladies all with friendly & helpful service. There is an excellent Supervalu which carries some excellent & unusual wines and a wide range of goods.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
Perhaps the music could be updated & more varied to include light jazz, classical & recent popular music! This hotel deserves something more discerning that the jaded 60s tape on a loop! not a complaint, but rather a suggestion!

The location is perfect in the centre of the town. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, could not find any fault and fast service.

The warm welcome, from owner, Joanne, friendly staff & excellent standard of food and accomodation. We plan to return anytime we are in the area and highly recommend it. This establishment is a huge asset to Ballaghaderreen.

The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, with a great choice of Menu. I would have no hesitation in recommending Durkins Hotel .

Loved the room size and the bed. Tea making facilities were excellent. All very good. Breakfast and service was very good as well. Very helpful staff which is always appreciated.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
The reason you're not getting excellent all round is because the green light in the ceiling for whatever purpose it served was keeping me awake.. When you turn off a light at night the room should be in darkness but this was not the case and the light glaring in one's eyes is not what you need or expect.

Food was excellent and the staff were so friendly they made my stay very pleasant. Customers were also very friendly. I was staying there on my own so been able to strike up a conversation with other customers was very good.
