At a time of grief, it was wonderful to receive such a warm welcome from owner, Joanne & all her staff.
The breakfasts are home cooked and delicious. We enjoyed lunches and dinner with good choices on the menu.
I would highly recommend the hotel for people travelling to the West to take a break and stop for a night or two and also
it would be a welcome stop for people travelling to Knock or the airport.
Like all rural towns Ballaghaderreen is picking up and convenient for some of the old style shops, a good Boutique for ladies all with friendly & helpful service.
There is an excellent Supervalu which carries some excellent & unusual wines and a wide range of goods.

Perhaps the music could be updated & more varied to include light jazz, classical & recent popular music!
This hotel deserves something more discerning that the jaded 60s tape on a loop! not a complaint, but rather a suggestion!
