Ballaghaderreen bypass to be opened to traffic on Tuesday September 2nd
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny is to officially open the N5 Ballaghaderreen Bypass to traffic on Tuesday.
Work on the 14 million euro stretch of road has mostly been completed ahead of official schedule with remaining ancillary jobs to continue in the weeks ahead.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at half past 12 on Tuesday at the new N5.
The new bypass is aimed at alleviating the amount of heavy traffic moving through the small town of Ballaghaderreen.
However, the route is also a major source of economic concern for local traders and business owners.
